The wine is made from Nerello Mascalese grapes, a grape variety native to this area. Cuordilava features a bouquet of small red fruits accompanied by spicy notes that blend with hints of forest floor. On the palate it is pervasive and deep, distinguished by soft tannins and elegant minerality. The persistent finish enhances the extraordinary personality of Cuordilava, the ruby red hue of which brings the intensity of the volcano’s lava to mind, right when it emerges with all its force from the crater. Dolce&Gabbana has drawn inspiration from the color of magma when making the seal and the gros-grain ribbon on the case, while the graphics of the label and packaging bring the designs and styles of the Sicilian Carretto to mind.
